Community Public Safety Meeting and Naloxone Training
Saturday, November 2
11 a.m. - 1p.m. or 3 - 5 p.m.
(2 sessions, register for one by October 28; space is limited)
Brooklyn Center Community Center - 6301 Shingle Creek Parkway

The City of Brooklyn Center is dedicated to addressing the opioid crisis and supporting the health and safety of our community. As part of our City-wide strategic plan, we are launching an Opioid Response Strategy that includes prevention, education, and recovery initiatives to ensure our community has the resources and tools needed to combat this public health crisis.

We are reaching out to invite your business to be a key partner in this initiative. One of the intentional components of our strategy is to provide training for at least one staff member per shift in every business located within the City. Participants will receive education on the current opioid crisis, training to administer Naloxone, a sharps container, and ongoing resources from our City and opioid outreach team.

Your business’s involvement is vital as it increases the safety and preparedness of our community. Together, we can create a safer environment for all residents and visitors while working to reduce the impact of opioid misuse in our City. We look forward to collaborating with you in this critical effort and will be in touch to discuss participation and next steps. Thank you for your support and commitment to our community’s health and safety. We hope to see you and your staff at our first free training opportunity on November 2nd, 2024.
