The City Code provides regulations for public health, morals, economic well-being, welfare, and safety. Any Council enactment that regulates people or property and provides a penalty if violated are adopted in the form of an ordinance.

To access the City Code of Ordinances, follow these instructions:

  1. When you click on Laserfiche WebLink, the City Code folder of records will open listing each Chapter of the City Code.
  2. Choose which Chapter you wish to access by clicking on the desired folder.

Public Notice-Ordinance Amendments

The City's legal notices are published in the official newspaper, the Brooklyn Center Sun-Post. New proposed ordinances and proposed amendments to existing ordinances are posted on the City's website at least 10 days before the City Council schedules a final vote.
