Humans Need Pollinators
Brooklyn Center join efforts in protecting this critical link in our food chain.
Joining in the challenge by the National Wildlife Federation, the City Council has pledged that Brooklyn Center, MN will help save the monarch butterfly. In the western United States, populations of this iconic species have declined by 99% in recent years. Farmers rely on pollinators like these for our crops. With the help of residents and organizations, the city will create habitats for the monarch butterfly and pollinator, and educate residents about how they can make a difference at home and in the community.
