Hennepin County Down Payment Assistance Program
The Hennepin County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HCHRA) has created a Home Buyer Assistance Program to provide down payment financing to assist buyers interested in a purchasing a home in Hennepin County.
- Requirements include:
- Must be a first-time home buyer
- Borrower's gross household income must be at or below 115% AMI
- Borrower(s) must take required education classes within one year prior to purchase

Homebuyer Program for Low & Moderate Income Households
The City of Brooklyn Center offers a financial assistance program for homeownership funded by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The Homebuyer Program provides financial assistance for low and moderate income households to become homeowners.
