Project Updates

The City of Brooklyn Center is preparing for the rehabilitation of 67th Ave N from Shingle Creek Parkway to the cul-de-sac, and James Ave N from 67th Ave N to Freeway Blvd. 

On September 23, 2024, the City Council accepted the Feasibility Report and set a date for the Improvement Public Hearing for the project.

The Public Hearing will be held on October 28th, 2024 at 7:00pm as part of the regular City Council meeting, and will give any property owner affected by the improvements an opportunity to address the Council regarding the project. A notice will be sent to property owners prior to meeting with additional information.

• 2-inch bituminous mill and overlay with partial curb replacement
• Storm manhole casting replacements
• Sanitary manhole casting replacements
• Hydrant and gate valve spot replacements

Project Schedule

• September 2024: Feasibility Report to City Council
• February 2025: Anticipated Bid Opening
• May 2025: Start Construction 
• September 2025: End Construction
