Voting on Election Day
Polls are open on Election Day (Tuesday, November 8) from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Be sure to check where your polling place is located this year, as it may have changed from the last time you voted. Your Election Day polling place is different than your early voting location.

Registering on Election Day
Not yet registered? Don’t worry – in Minnesota, you can register at your polling place. To do so, you will need to provide proof of residence. This can be done in several different ways:
- An ID with your name and current address, or
- A photo ID (does not need to list your current residence) AND a document like a utility bill with your current residence, or
- Have a registered voter from the same precinct vouch on your behalf
