Lead and Copper in Drinking Water
Safe Drinking Water Standards
The City has recently completed lead and copper testing on the City's drinking water. Based on the results, the public water system has not exceeded the action level for the lead and has not exceeded the action level for copper.
Action Level - The concentration of a contaminant which, if exceeded, triggers treatment or other requirements which a water system must follow. The action level for lead is 15.0 parts per billion (PPB) with the maximum contaminant level goal (MCLG) set at zero. The action level and MCLG for copper is 1300.0 PPB.
